Living Among Green
The Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health has stated that those who live near green vegetation are less prone to a variety of diseases including depression and anxiety. Greeneries near your residence not only keep the air clean but also have a soothing effect on your mind. A recent study revealed that there is a strong relation between diseases like depression and the absence of flora near homes. In an urban environment people who are stressed out do not have a refuge to discharge all their tension and refresh their minds. The findings throw light on the impact of pollution on human health and the need to eradicate the sedentary urban lifestyle. Green spaces tend to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor when it comes to health.
List of Diseases influenced by Green Spaces:
- Coronary heart disease(CHD)
- Diabetes
- Depression and anxiety
- Neck, shoulder and back pain
- Asthma and Respiratory disorders
- Migraine and vertigo
- Stomach bugs and urinary tract infections
- Unexplained physical symptoms
