Acapulco, Mexico - Pearl of the Pacific

Acapulco Glass Bottomed Ferries
Isla La Roqueta Virgin Mary Dolphins
Acapulco, the Mexican sweetheart is worth a visit even as the resplendent resort struggles to sustain the flair it once had during the halcyon days of the 1950s. Merry mornings, tropical revelry and glamorous nights make it a perfect place to replenish your psyche. There are glimpses of the past sprawled over the sallow beaches, stunning cliffs, sumptuous hotels and the spruced up restaurants and clubs. The beaches are an ideal place to relax and soak up the tropical sun albeit the pesky hawkers. The glass-bottom boat ride is a fascinating experience taking a peek at the cliffside mansions, fish feeding and a floating restaurant. You can see a submerged statue of the Virgin Mary through the glass bottomed ferries that gives a spiritual sensation. The Isla La Roqueta is a gorgeous little island with a myriad of sights to explore. Acapulco is never short of adventure sports like bungee jumping and cliff diving. At Acapulco's restaurants don't forget to taste the scrumptious pozole, a local stew/soup made from corn, pork and chicken, avocado, oregano, etc. At night the city just refuses to sleep and the party goes on and on forever. Music and discos keep your spirits high making your trip a memorable experience.
