Connecting DVD Player and DTH simultaneously

Recently I switched to DTH from my normal wired cable network. But as soon as they connected the set top box to my television I realized that I cannot connect my DVD player to it. My Philips television was bought in 1998 and so it has only a single AV socket at the back. Most of the modern television sets come with two AV channels with two AV sockets one at the front and the other at the rear. So every time I need to play my DVDs I have to pull the DTH pin out and plug in the player's connector. This was very frustrating. So I just bought an Audio-Video selector which had three AV inputs and a single AV output. This enabled me to plug in three devices to the AV selector but you can select only one of the three input channels at the same time. Since my television has only one AV channel and socket I can't watch them all simultaneously. Anyway this is good for me because I don't want to keep connecting and disconnecting every time. Just a simple tap of the switch will do the job. You can also connect your camcorder, video games, etc with this 3-way AV selector. It is a good solution to upgrade your old single socket televisions.
